The Cottage at CAMP CAVENDISH ON LAKE PLACID
The Cottage at Camp Cavendish is a fully winterized, warm and roomy cottage on the shoreline (255 feet) of East Lake, Lake Placid. It is apart of the large 3.9 acre property, Camp Cavendish, that consists of an 1884 seasonal grand main house and boathouse. It has complete road accessibility during even the snowiest of winters (however, AWD or 4 Wheel Drive is recommended).
Built in 1985 and extended and enlarged in 1994, the Cottage comfortably sleeps 5-6 in two bedrooms, a large separate dayroom, two bathrooms, and can additionally sleep two children in a twin bedded loft, accessible by a permanent large wooden ladder. The master bedroom offers a queen bed and full bath with jetted tub. The second bedroom features two twin beds and shares a bathroom with the great room and dayroom. The dayroom has a twin Swedish bed with separate trundle bed (that slides out from underneath).
The great room is large with ample seating and offers a tv (for movies only- no cable) and beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The dining area, seats 8, features a beautiful Rumford fireplace. The kitchen has a gas cooking stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and breakfast table. There is a heated laundry room and half basement with washer and dryer, accessible by a door from the exterior side of the building. Please note, due to severe allergies, no smoking or pets permitted.
