Fred’s Bio
Fred joined the Gillis Team in the spring of 2012. He is a retired educator who taught business, computer science and mathematics for 36 years in the North Country, namely at the Tupper Lake High School. His customers value and appreciate his ability to customize their individual experience – whether they are a first-time home buyer looking for a year round residency; a year-round resident looking to rent or sell their home or camp; or a seasonal resident who is working on buying or selling their property. Fred works logically and works hard to find exactly what his customer is seeking.
Since 2003, Fred has owned and operated a landscaping design and construction business, giving him more than 30 years of property development and improvement experience. He has numerous customers he works with annually for large and small projects. Additionally, Fred is a native of the Adirondacks. He grew up living on Whitney Park, as his father was general manager of Whitney Industries for many years. This unique life experience instilled a lifelong appreciation and knowledge of the Adirondack landscape. He has hunted, fished and traversed across the Adirondacks, and carried this confidence and local knowledge of his surroundings into the real estate business.
