I wanted to share a recent article from the Adirondack Explorer highlighting the sale of Camp Kill Kare on Lake Kora for $79.5 million, a record setting transaction for resort property within the Adirondack Park.
The journalist, James Odato, reached out to me prior to publication to discuss the sale and to get perspective on the Adirondack Great Camp market. It is an honor to be part of that conversation, especially given how rare and nuanced these properties are.
As noted in the article, this transaction sets a new bar. A 1,000 acre estate trading at this level is something we simply have not seen before in the Adirondacks . These legacy holdings are not commodity real estate. They are generational assets defined by scale, history, privacy, and irreplaceable location.
What is most interesting to me is what this signals going forward. While opportunities at this level are incredibly limited, this sale reinforces the strength of the upper tier of the Adirondack market and the continued demand for truly exceptional properties.
