Board Leadership Roles
My ambition to succeed really started with the 6:00AM runs in the fall when I started in 8th grade year at National Sports Academy. Our soccer coach at the time (who's house I just sold in 2016!) taught us about motivation, will to win, competition and respect. He instilled those values with us on the field as did my ski coaches did on the hill everyday. Those values still exist today and I still get up to run, ski or play golf before a work day.
I moved on to St. Lawrence University where I learned most importantly how to communicate. There couldn't be anything more important in real estate. Buyers and sellers in today's market expect knowledge and advice. I am only 35 but I believe that no matter my age you can trust that I'm giving you both. SLU also has provided me a tremendous network. I can't believe how broad the Alumni base is in our professional world as some of the most successful people went to SLU and I'm very grateful for these relationships.
The SLU network was instrumental in helping me in my career path in real esate working for K. Hovanian Homes (KHOV) in New Jersey. In a sense I got my masters in real estate working for KHOV. In 2005, they were ranked the 6th largest home builder in the country. I read the founder Kevork Hovnanian's book and he said "let your word be your bond." I did exactly that, worked hard, stayed late in case the phone rang and did a lot of cold calling. I also got a lot of rejection, professional sales training and eventually found my groove. My total transaction volume when I left the company exceeded $75,000,000 but the experience was priceless.
Now, I'm back in Lake Placid working with my Dad. I was lucky enough to meet Emily, my beautiful and amazing wife and be a father of Frank Anthony Politi born December 20th, 2016. These are the most important things in my life along with the relationships I've built with those who I have worked for and with over the past 5 years. I'm always raising the bar in my professional life and there's lots to do to get better at this career. If I'm not a real estate broker when I'm 70+ years old I will be shocked but hopefully retired and still in Lake Placid.
Finally. I think it comes down setting expectations. Sometimes you need a helping hand to get through the weeds. I offer you my services, experience and deep knowledge of the Adirondacks along with the people who may have owned that house before you. My past experiences and secrets will get us the best deal. I promise.
Thank you for the consideration.
